Wedding Crafts: Name Places

There seems to be a theme emerging, and the theme is crafts itself! This idea was mainly materials inspired as in our favourite shop Action, which has a great value craft supplies section, we spotted bags of empty spools/bobbins and lots of embroidery thread. We already had the alphabet stamps and ink pads from the save the dates to that seemed logical to use those again. The the spools of yarn was an innovative way to aid the singular piece of card to stand up. We were also able to use a variety of colours with the embroidery thread, the colour theme was, again, colour itself!

These name places did take time, we had to wrap the thread onto the spools, cut the card down to side, then cut the paper layered on top down to size. The beauty about stamping onto inexpensive paper instead of the more pricey card was that when we inevitably made errors ie the name was longer and didn't fit, or wasn't central, or the letters were a bit higgledy piggledy, we weren't wasting expensive materials. We attached the card to the embroidery thread with butterfly pins, which we could wrap and trap the thread into to secure without adhesive.
